Oh, yes, let us not forget “the gipper.” There was a REAL gipper who has been forgotten since b-movie Reagan played him in a movie and stole his persona making a political career out of it. Shame on him! But, of course, Republicans seem to be missing the “shame” gene. They only like to hold the rest of us to that moral standard.

As a Vietnam era draftee, I am particularly disgusted with the rich white boys of that era who dodged out with their connections and then picked up their flags and began waving. It was common then, and they continue now. Besides deferments for the well connected, there was another bunch of rich boys who crowded themselves into the National Guard units all over the country. Baby Bush was one of those. There’s little mystery as to how the son of a Texas Congressman managed to get into the Alabama National Guard. They ARE NOT patriots, and I have never been fooled by their phony rhetoric. Unfortunately, many have.

bush,cheney,and defense contractor pals were nothing more than either awol,of draftdodging war profiteers! old tricky dicky(shooter to most)cheney was such an american,flagwaving patriot,he got out of militasry service in vietnam (mr.7/8 deferments) becuase’ he was too busy going to college’.

Thanks for the info. Your sources are better than mine on the exit of the Bin Laden family from the US. I don’t mind being corrected when I’m wrong. I think there are still a lot of mysteries surrounding Bush’s failure to round up Osama Bin Laden as he promised.
